Untapped explores the usage of a resource not yet exploited or used; Natural Latex Rubber. Noted after the research gathered from the Rainforest Alliance, the Hevea Brasiliensis is a species of rubberwood that is primarily grown wildly within the rainforests in the Amazon region of South America. By creating imitation skin like materials commonly used in leathered goods such as belts, wallets, bags ect. are being employed during this process. I did not intend to propose a medium that should replace these high-quality materials, but to imitate the aesthetic by highlighting the potential of this lesser-used ethical resource as a vegetarian leather, which can be commercially sold as non-allergenic.
