Burberry's latest season show at Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell Green has encompassed a pure feeling of British Life captured through a collection of photography and the latest ready-to-wear collection. This show sees a difference in standard as it moves from Maker's House to this gorgeous grade-II listed building, a perfect setting for the company's latest exhibition.
Gathered over three floors, the September 2017 show portrays over 70 perfectly curated photographs of Burberry's historical images while surrounded by the new collection.
The collection relies heavily on Burberry's signature tartan aesthetic, but delivers a modern twist with it's unexpected mix of colours, heavy textures and unusual silhouettes. This eclectic mix combines chunky patchwork knits, delicately embroidered lace dresses, tailored PVC outerwear with oversized check accessories.
‘This collection finds the humour, and the beauty, and the pathos, and the sheer glorious eccentricity of the British way of dressing.’ - Christopher Bailey
